Packers VS KC Injury update

Scott Wells will be out for the next game. His sinus infection has turned into pneumonia. This all started from the eye injury. Despite being added to the Green Bay Packers' active roster on Tuesday, wide receiver Koren Robinson isn't guaranteed to be playing Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs. His right knee was a little sore in the last several days of practice. He dropped two punted balls in drills last week, and I think that kept him from playing during the Broncos game. DeShawn Wynn is out for the season. His shoulder was numb after his first running play last Monday. Ryan Grant played well, and his only big screw up was that flipped play that he messed up. Favre took the sack. Will the Packers go 7-1? My guess.....yes. Packers 24 KC 17

A Green Bay running game and one heck of a throw

All I can say is wow. The Packers should have run the ball last night and they did. Who knows if they will be able to run against KC, but last night was a start. Who said Favre can't throw the long ball? That sick feeling in my gut went bye bye real fast. One 82 yard bomb fast. Favre is still the man. Yes, we should have run against the Broncos, but what about the passing. Favre tore them up. The two great Broncos corners looked pretty bad at the most important times. Atari, what the heck were you doing out there last night? If you weren't such a talented player, and if the Packers would have lost last night, I think you would have been on the next bus out of town.

Great job Packers...on to KC.

Big Monday night game in Denver

With the win by Detroit, the pressure is on for The Packers. Chicago's chances of making the playoffs just dropped below 39% with the loss to the Lions. I hate rooting for the Bears, but that would have been satisfying to see them beat Detroit. Even if the Packers split the next two games, that would keep things in good shape. But the split should start with a win at Denver, if they can't pull off two wins on the road. I got my tickets for the Vikings vs Packers tickets all lined up. I haven't been to a game since 2005. That was the 5 degree nightmare against Carolina.

Koren Robinson returns to the roster

Probably the second best receiver after Double D, Koren will add a bit of spice to the Packer stew. Will this help fight the Tampa 2? Probably not. That would require a solid run game. I don’t see much chance of the Packers’ running game improving unless the offensive line makes a drastic improvement during their time off during the bye week. Two weeks on the road coming up, and then the boys come home.

Tampa 2 and the Packers

Homework during the bye week was to figure out a way to counter the Tampa 2 scheme. A running game would help the Packers in that regard. If you get that running game going, the linebackers have to commit, the deep corners or safety players have to move up. Favre has no problem throwing the deep ball. Don't fall for that crud. The Packers should win this one on the road in Denver. 24-21

Defensive Duel in Green Bay

Thank goodness they pulled it out. The Packers squeaked by the Redskins. I don't know about you, but while I watched the defense in the second half, the Packers seemed to have the Redskins number. It was just terrible watching the missed field goal, the interceptions, the lack of a running game...again. OK, now it's time for a break. The Packers can heal up, and I can get some yard work done. Bubba, get that knee back in order! Go Packers!

Redskins VS Packers

The number one defense comes to Green Bay on Sunday. I have to say that I am confident that the Packers will give them a run for their money. The Packers have to go into the bye week 5-1. Boy, would that feel good. On a side note, I read that Ferguson stopped getting any action in the past two Vikings games. Hopefully Favre won't feel that way about Jones. Favre doesn't have that many options; he's got to pass the ball his way. No choice. Hold on to the ball and I think that Pack has this one in a close fashion. Packers 21 Skins 17.

Packer blog day one

I'm new at this, but I expect to find lots of things to say. First of all, congratulations on the Packers 4-1 start! Amazing! Too bad the Bears won the game though. It killed me to watch the end. Now the Packers go up against a strong Redskins team. I think that Packers Nation put it best when commenting on the Bears game "Turnovers, Turnovers, Turnovers, Turnovers, Turnovers. When a team has 5 turnovers there is a slim chance they could ever win."

You gotta' hang on to the ball boys!
